Downtown Women’s Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1978 in Los Angeles. It was the first permanent supportive housing provider for women in the U.S., the first Critical Time Intervention provider in the Western U.S., the first health clinic exclusively serving women in the Skid Row community, and the first drop-in Day Center exclusively serving homeless women in the City of Los Angeles.
