Donate

We connect donors with verified nonprofit organizations focused on women and children.

Every partner is verified, and your donation goes exactly where you choose — with full visibility into its use.

Our Approach

Women and children organizations receive only 2.04% of U.S. charitable giving — less than three cents of every donated dollar. We’re building a direct channel between donors who care and the organizations that need them.

The organizations doing the most important work — building schools for girls, supporting survivors of violence, providing maternal care in communities denied equitable access to health services — are chronically underfunded and largely invisible to most donors. These same organizations are roughly twice as reliant on government grants as other nonprofits, which means political shifts put their funding at risk.

The mechanism is straightforward. We partner with verified nonprofit organizations focused on women and children. Donors browse and give to the organizations they choose. Both sides see the same information — there’s no donor-facing version of the truth and a separate one for partners. What happened is what you see.

For Donors - How Giving Works

Step 1

Find a cause that matters to you

Browse organizations that Donate has verified. You can filter by cause area, geography, or the kind of work they do. Read about the people behind each organization and what they're working on right now - not a generic mission statement, but the specific work your support would fund.

Step 2

Give with confidence

Your contribution goes directly to the partner organization you chose — one-time or recurring, whatever works for you. We don't pool contributions or redirect them. When you give to a specific story, that's exactly where it lands.

Step 3

Follow the story

After you give, the story doesn't end. You see the progress and what changed when the goal was reached. Real updates because you were part of making it happen.

For Organizations - How Partnership Works

Donate is open to nonprofit organizations focused on women and girls. There are no fees to join - our model covers operating costs separately from the donations your supporters send you.

Step 1

Apply to join

Submit a brief application telling us about your organization, your mission, and the work you do for women and children. No lengthy forms. We want to understand who you serve and how.

Step 2

Verification

We verify your nonprofit registration and review your work. Basic verification gets your profile live quickly - you can start building visibility while financial verification is in progress. Full financial verification completes your profile and activates all features.

Step 3

Create your campaign

We help you set up your first campaign together - who you're helping, what the funding will accomplish, and how you'll report back to donors when it's done. You don't figure this out alone.

Step 4

See the difference you made

Follow the progress, see when the goal is reached, and get updates.

What Transparency Actually Means Here

Donors choose where their money goes

You give to a specific organization, not to a general fund. Donate doesn't pool contributions and allocate them - every gift is directed exactly as you intended. The organization you chose receives it.

You see how funding is used

We show you how partner organizations are using their funding. Not a generic annual report — real information about real work. We provide the channel; partners share their progress through it.

Verified organizations only

Every organization listed with us has been reviewed for nonprofit registration and basic operational integrity. We don't list unverified organizations regardless of how compelling the cause sounds. Verification is the minimum standard, not a premium feature.

We're transparent about ourselves too

Our registration documents, our board, and our financial filings are available on our Financials page. We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of partner organizations.
