Donate

We're early.

These are the numbers that matter right now - and the ones we're working toward.

Where We Are Today

Donate launched with two verified partner organizations. That's a real number, and we'll say it plainly rather than dress it up.

Why This Work Matters

These are not Donate's numbers. They're the sector research that explains why organizations like ours need to exist - and why the funding gap for women and children is one of the most urgent problems in philanthropy.

Each figure comes from a named primary source.

2.04%

That's how much of U.S. charitable giving reached organizations focused on women and children in 2023. Less than three cents of every dollar donated.

Women's Philanthropy Institute, 2023

376 million

Women and children projected to be living in extreme poverty in 2025.

UN Women, 2025

260,000

Women who died from pregnancy or childbirth complications in 2023. One every two minutes.

WHO, 2023

650 million

Girls and women alive today who were married before age 18.

UNICEF, 2022

119 million

Girls out of school worldwide. Girls in conflict-affected countries are more than twice as likely to be denied access to education.

UNICEF, 2025

$15-30 trillion

The estimated cost of not educating girls - in lost lifetime productivity and earnings globally.

World Bank, 2018

Our Partners' Work

The most tangible evidence of impact at this stage of Donate's existence is the work our partner organizations were already doing before we launched.

We didn't create their impact - we're building a channel that helps more donors find and support it.

What Comes Next

We know this page is sparse. That’s intentional. We won’t publish impact numbers we don’t have, and we won’t present projections as results.

We’re building toward direct visibility into the real-world outcome of every contribution made to partner organizations. Not a dashboard of aggregate statistics — a direct line between a gift and the impact it made.
