A Summer in the water, built for every child
Adaptive summer swimming program for children with developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities.
For many children, summer means water, movement, and play. But for children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory processing differences, or other adaptive needs, swim programs are not always built around how they learn, move, and feel safe.

From June 12–14, 2026, Tesserae Minds will run an adaptive summer swim camp where children can learn, move, and participate at their own pace. The program includes water safety, swimming technique, artistic swimming, music, choreography, creative expression, and a final family showcase.
Some children may learn a new swim skill. Some may simply feel comfortable stepping into the water for the first time. At this camp, both are real progress.
Your support helps open the pool to a child who may not otherwise have access to a program built with their needs in mind.
What your donation covers
Every contribution helps provide a three-day adaptive swim camp designed around safety, confidence, movement, and belonging.
Over three days, children are gently introduced to the water, movement, music, and artistic swimming in a way that respects their pace and abilities.
They practice pool safety, basic swimming skills, coordination, rhythm, creative expression, and teamwork. The camp ends with a small family showcase — not as a performance requirement, but as a warm celebration of confidence, participation, and joy.

Around 70 supporters giving $15 can help fund the full program.

Tesserae Minds is a nonprofit supporting children with adaptive needs, including neurodivergent children, through safe and inclusive swimming and artistic swimming.
Their approach is patient, individualized, and encouraging. Children build water confidence, coordination, rhythm, teamwork, and a sense of belonging - while families see that their child has a place in the pool.
