Support families navigating Regional Center care

Support bilingual childcare and therapy for children with developmental differences and their families.

Russian-speaking families in the Bay Area often have to navigate California’s care system just as they are trying to understand what their child needs next.

After a diagnosis — autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, or another developmental difference — parents may face insurance questions, school support, therapy options, applications, and appointments all at once.

Sunny Nest Learning Hub is being built for these families in Northern California: a bilingual English–Russian childcare and therapy center where children can receive ABA therapy, speech therapy, sensory integration support, and learning support in one place.

One part of this support is making the Regional Center system clearer. Regional Center is California’s statewide network of nonprofit agencies that helps eligible people with developmental disabilities access services and support.

Your support helps create bilingual Russian–English materials that explain the first steps.

What your donation covers

Your support helps create bilingual Russian–English materials that explain the Regional Center system for families navigating developmental support in California.

The materials will cover:

  • What Regional Center is
  • How families can begin the process
  • What support may be available
  • What questions parents can ask about their child’s care

Goal: $1,000

  • When a family doesn’t understand the system, support can feel out of reach. Sunny Nest was created to make that first step clearer — for children who need care, and for parents who need guidance in a language they understand.
